Privacy statement
KivMe is operated by Abilix Digital. This page says exactly what we collect on this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. It covers bekivme.com only. The apps will have their own statement when they open.
What we collect
Three things, all of them given to us deliberately by you:
- Waitlist — your email address, and whether you are looking for a service or offering one.
- Contact form — your name, email address and the message you write.
- Professional application — your name, email, phone number, the services you offer, your region and suburb, how long you have been working, the rate you want to receive, whether you hold insurance, your NZBN if you have one, and anything you write in the About field.
We also receive the country your request came from, which Cloudflare adds automatically, and anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics. Analytics is served from our own domain, and we do not send it your name, email or any other identifying detail.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for identity documents, photographs of your face, bank details or tax numbers on this website. When identity verification opens, it will be handled by a regulated verification provider: your document goes to them, and KivMe keeps only the result and a reference. The same applies to payment details when the marketplace opens.
We do not publish any email address on this site, we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not send marketing on behalf of anyone else.
Why we collect it
To tell you when KivMe opens in your area, to answer what you write to us, and to assess professional applications so we can invite people onto the platform when it launches. That is the whole list.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
- Waitlist entries: until we launch in your area, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Professional applications: until the platform opens and your account is created, or 12 months if we do not proceed, whichever comes first.
Who can see it
The people running KivMe at Abilix Digital. Applications are reviewed by hand by one person. Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data on our behalf and cannot use it for anything else.
Where it is stored
On Cloudflare infrastructure, in the Oceania region. Some processing may happen at other Cloudflare locations as your request travels, which is normal for any website served through a content network.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form on the home page and say what you want done. We will action it within 20 working days, which is the timeframe the Act sets.
If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own to count returning visits. Blocking them changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Changes
If we start collecting something new, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
